Wait? so are we only talking about words?

I'm actually talking also about all the ways we censor ourselves.

I assume the only people that don't do it to some degree are people like schizophrenics or..similar situations where someone was completely disassociated.

I clarified to Smokey what I was saying in the other thread,, and well,, Im hoping he understood ( Im sure he did,,)
 As for "self censorship",,I want to say one thing.
 I dont censor myself one bit in the real world, or on here.
I have never censored myself on anything.
I just prefer not to swear like a sailor when I can get my point accross ( most of the time) without vulgar language.
 As for the vulgar language,, I myself dont mind others using it,, but I myself dont have to sound like an uneducated street urchin when I speak to someone.
Thats not self cencorship,, thats just called courtesy.
 I think thats something many online need to understand and practice.
In the real world,,you speak to me,, speak to me with courtesy,,if you dont,, you may end up in the emergency room.
 That goes into another idea ( that many seem not to have) called respect of self and others.

^ I can see that about you. And, in truth, I don't censor myself that much. I'm basically the same no matter who I'm with, or what the social situation is. And I just don't mean words.. I mean all of my personality, and topics of discussion. Still, I have to assume that most people have situations where they censor themselves to an extent. Just the nature of some work or social situatons alone require it...a new work client.. a funeral.. etc. And, I don't mean not being true to yourself. I just mean being on our best behavior, and avoiding talking about certain subjects.

I doubt I'm going to be invited back to the Vatican any time soon.

Vatican? I got ex comunicated from the Assembly Of God religion,, and I wasnt even a member of that system.
