.... and a Happy New Year!
« on: December 31, 2009, 04:15:34 AM »
For some of us the new year is almost here and to those I wish them a Happy New Year. But to everyone no matter what you are doing this evening, I hope you have a great time and stay safe.

Personally I will be at home with my family eating even more saturated fat and drinking alcohol, but I cannot think of anywhere else I'd rather be!

Happy New Year!

Don't put off until tomorrow, what you can put off until the day after.

Happy New Year everyone.  I might just sleep through it since I've gotten about 1.5 hours sleep in the last 48 hours.

Sorry to hear that and I hope the rebuild is finished so you can go home.  Many thanks to you Dweez for all you hard work and support and I promise I'll drink enough for both of us this evening..

Hehe, ok, you need to have at least one bourbon/whiskey drink (that's my poison of choice).  Server is back up now and looks to be doing well but I'll be monitoring it off an on (whenever I get up to relieve myself).

Happy New Year everyone, I hope 2010 brings you good health, prosperity, peace of mind and lots of luck. Whether you are intending to go out to see the New Year in, or (like myself) intend to see it in at home with their families, have a great night, drink plenty and kiss as many strangers as possible.  :)

And good luck with those New Years resolutions.  ;D

All stocked up on food supplies, water, and ammunition.

I wasn't one of the people freaking out about the Y2k bug, but I've always got a slight creeping fear that the conspiracy nuts are just bad at math.

Then again, if the end of the world happens in a blink, then stocking up on supplies was a very foolish act.

Either way, come oblivion or another year, I just hope I'm happy.

I've just been watching the first firework displays on the news as the southern hemisphere ushers in the New Year and must say Hong Kong's looked particularly excellent.

Happy New Year everyone.

Looking back at 2009,, some good thinggs happened,, some bad things happened.
Good things that happened are that I met you guys and got to develope some very special freindships.
I went to the UK and got engaged to a close freind Ive had for several years. I got to see a culture that is just amazing! I got my wrestling carreer back up and going sagain ( Sexecutioners are BACK!!!!), I got back in touch with an old buddy from the original ECW ( Mace!  I got three words for ya punk!  BRING,,,,THE,,,,,PAIN!!!!!).
I got to spend more time with my son,, and we got alot closer since the divorce a while back. And I got to exercize some personal demons.
I wont go into the bad things, theyre just too depressing.
Tonight me and my son are going to stay in and skip the crowds and police being everywhere hrassing people.
I dont need the grief. But,, I think I will break out the bubbly and drink a toast to all of you,,Thanks for everything this year.

I keep my standards low.
That way im never disapointed.

Thats your life thought isnt it? I didnt know you ever slept.

It's starting to seem like that.  ;D  I've gotten to the point where it seems like a waste of time to sleep.  There's so much more I could be doing if I didn't have to waste 5-10 hours a day unconscious.  ::)

I got the server up and running again and after cleanup and a report e-mail to my dept, I got home around 8am-ish.  Stayed up a bit watching some "Dexter" (got seasons 1-3 and am giving it a go) and went to sleep around 1pm.  I woke up around 1:30am.  I think this is the 3rd or 4th "New Year" I've slept through.  I don't mind it much, it keeps me out of trouble.  ::)

Um,, been talking to Brian Conger of Outlaw Championship Wrestling,, Im slated as being over pre and post production ( have talks for a tv contract regionaly) and been talking to Mace and Kyle Queen about a possible return match for the Southern Extreme Title in April in Texas. And with Tamara Black of Black Marketing  about getting some promotions done.
ETCW is going big time and I got aproached by them for a limited contract here in the states.
So things are looking up.

Don't try the bottled crap, like Chuacer's or something, that stuff is crap.

Like RG says, its the home made stuff that's the poo.

My buddy and I made a couple of batches about 2.5 years ago (and need to make more based on the results) and they have really come into their own. I had a bottle of our absolutely delicious blueberry mead on Christmas day, and the one pictured is our lemongrass-ginger, which goes fabulously with sushi.  ;D

I wouldn't know but I expect it would taste of "honey" and "wine"?  I can vaguely remember trying some when I was a teenager, but it can't have left much of an impression.

^ see..that's what I want to know... what does it taste like? Is it like wine? I have no reference.

It most closely resembles the taste and consistency of red wine (it is not a thick, sugary syrup as some tend to envision it) however, there are lingering flavors that come through after it sits on your palette for a bit.

And the flavor can be altered by whatever's been mixed into the brew - for instance blueberry or lemongrass-ginger.
