He was the best voice in heavy-metal ever and a great and very modest man.
Rest in peace, Ronnie James, you won't be forgotten.  :'(

The lover of life's not a sinner
The ending is just a beginner
The closer you get to the meaning
The sooner you'll know that you're dreaming
So it's on and on and on, oh it's on and on and on
It goes on and on and on, heaven and hell...

R.I.P. Ronnie James Dio.
He was Hungry For Heaven,,But first he had to raise a little Hell.

RJD is now singing for a band with the likes of Dime Bag, Randy Rhoads and many other true believers in Heavy Metal.

I grew up listening to him. I remember listening to him with Elf, Rainbow,Black Sabbath and on his own.
He was amazing.
Unfortunately I only got to see him twice in concert.
Once on the Sacred Heart tour and then on the Unleash The Wolves. I remember that one because he had Doro Pesch and Warlock opening for him.
I remember her being short and having this amazing voice and stage preasence.
Then he came out and destroyed the place.
Man,, he was a short guy,, but his voice was ten foot tall.
I saw the Rainbow In The Dark vid on MTV back in i think 1983 when he went solo and had Vivian Campbell playiing guitar for him.
I thought he was amazing with the other bands,, but Godlike on his own.
I had heard he took some time off for health reasons when Heaven and Hell stoppedtouring. But I didint know it was for cancer.
I saw my dad suffer for years with cancer, and my grandfather passed away due to stomach cancer.
Ronnie James Dio has officialy joined the ranks of those I loved that cancer took from me.
May his soul fly as free as his voice did.
He was a truly amazing human being and an inovater in the metal music scene ( and music in general).
I keep my standards low.
That way im never disapointed.
