....Damned group A Streptococci.

Back in the days when I actually kissed women, it could take months to shift a strep throat.  Just when you thought you were clear, a quick snog could put you right back to square one.

 :D

Thank you. She's getting better. Almost 20 hrs without fever. Her throat still looks like chopped liver and she struggles with swallowing mashed potatoes. Eating ice cream isn't a problem though.  ::) :)

Presumabubble wives don't count?

They do up to the point of marriage.

Call from doctor. Appointment moved from December to tomorrow. Mandatory counseling session after. No details as to why. Very, very scared.

I think you should not worry about it until you have reason to be worried.  You appear to have been living clean and reasonably, pose no danger to yourself or others, so I can't imagine there would be any change other than perhaps a suggestion that they alter any medications you are currently taking.

It's probably due to some bureaucratic deadline or requirements and maybe somebody forgot to fill out some paperwork and is in hot water for not filing it sooner.

Clinic just called for the third time, and told me to cancel one of the appointments for tomorrow. The clinic only allows one appointment per day. I told her I'm not allowed to cancel appointments.

She said she would make a note.

The last time someone made a note, my health insurance ceased to exist.

I understand that there are policies in place, but this is bless'ed ridiculous.

Your doctor could be clearing his/her Dec. schedule to take a longer vacation.  Sorry you just get left in the dark so much.  Sucks.  Hope this won't affect your health insurance.

I have to go to a specialist. I'm not going to get my gun back.

My doctor overrode the policies and had me talk to the therapist. He stated the same thing he says every time, that I have to remain compliant.

I should have just stayed at home the night I had my psychotic episode. Now I can't get off the rollercoaster.

I will remain compliant, but I no longer have hope.

How did someone else get your gun in the first place?

I thought you had had a run in with the law re public drunkenness or some such.  Maybe you can elaborate, if not here, then via pm.  This seems excessively interventionist for one incident.

Oh.  And I regularly scramble eggs for lunch.  Today, one of the two eggs had a double yolk.  If fertilized, it would have meant twin chickens!  I feel lucky, I guess, as it seemed like a good omen.

In California, they confiscate your gun when you are on psychiatric probation.
