Topic: Bizarre police encounter.

My window blinds are busted. To open and close them, I have to turn the bar with pliers. I'd love to replace them, but there are so many other things that need fixing around the house.

Around 9 PM PST, I hear a tap on my window. I thought it was my roommate, so I pushed aside the blinds. Gun. In. Face.

It was the police. He asks in a tone of a pizza delivery driver "You call the cops?". I said no, they turned around and went to the front house.

bless'ed scary man.

I just stayed in my house. I don't really care for interacting with the police, and I had already had my adrenaline spike for the month.

I think my roommmate talked to them, I was putting the dog in the bathroom. Cops + dogs = heartbreak.

My neighbor had one but she killed it by over feeding it.

8ully, that's just bizarre.  I can't imagine such behavior on the part of a cop, unless he thought he was pursuing an armed, dangerous suspect into your apt.  Otherwise, knocking on your window with a gun seems like really unprofessional and inflamatory behavior.

Like I said, I'm pretty sure my roommate talked to them while I was stashing the dog in the bathroom, but that was my entire conversation with the officer.

As to the dog, that's horrible but I could see it happen, my dog will eat anything put in front of her.

[Update] Apparently the up front neighbor isn't just crazy, she's litigious! One day while washing the dog in the yard, I heard yelling, so I walked out front to see what the commotion was. The argument broke up pretty quick, but I heard crazy lady say "We'll see what my lawyer thinks about this."

Apparently, anyone she gets mouthy with is served with a restraining order. I thought there was a burden of proof applied to restraining orders, but apparently this madam gets em like candy.

Apparently she wasn't paying her rent, and served her roommate with a restraining order.

OH I don't do well when cops wake me up.

Neighbors.  I get it. 

Man, I wish I could spill incidents on here like you, usually I am in some sort of fray though, put on either unintentionally, or without my consent and honestly, I am embarrassed to talk about my shortcomings. It's a problem I've had for awhile. 

One thing about you is, 8ully, the incidents in your life are usually not shortcomings on your part, I don't really see you fall short of much.

No concerns are suited for me.  Don't worry, please. 

Most things I can handle, and otherwise have a pretty good support system of friends and family to help me get through the rough times. 

I'd like to talk to you about it Six, personally.  I honestly just hate typing out messages about my life's problems, I'm more of a talker and listener.

No need to move the thread for me, it's really on 8ullfrog, I didn't mean to interrupt.  I don't really want to go into topics like he does, I sometimes just need something to answer to.  Another reason why this fine website has helped me.
