Star Trek: The Game Show!
« on: October 29, 2013, 07:18:58 PM »
I saw this today at DAV, the Disabled American Veterans shop.

DAV used to have a great and wide selection of classic games/Music CD's, nowadays it looks like they sift all the good poo off, either to sell on some nebulous web portal, or possibly the screeners grabbing the good poo for themselves. The highest level of gaming is a busted PSX with AS IS written across the lid in permanent marker.

Today I saw a copy of Star Trek: The Game Show!

Now, I loved this game back when sprites were the height of Character Models, and Q is certainly always a laugh, but this game was marked for W95, and I do not have the patience to go through hoops to get it running. Still, it was $2.95, so if you're in Chula Vista (Doubtful) You can grab it.

It might run in XP Mode if the Windows 95 compatibility option is there > run as admin.

I tried getting an old Windows 95 game to work in wine, but it wouldn't work because it couldn't detect Quicktime (the old 90s version), which I had already installed in the prefix/bottle/whatever.  I gave up.

Now Zoidberg is the popular one!

I'd never heard of it, which might be a blessing after all:

Don't put off until tomorrow, what you can put off until the day after.

There is an exception to every rule, apart from this one.
