Eggs.
« on: March 12, 2014, 06:45:04 PM »

I used to always like my eggs scrambled until I tried them over medium. Now I like them sunny side up.  I will usually season them with black pepper & salt unless I am having bacon then it's just black pepper.

I like them over easy with toast lots of salt & pepper.  Sometimes I'll scramble them, especially if I have some scallion that I can cook first and throw in.  Basil is good too, when I have it.

I love the chicken lady.  She's so weird.

Kids in the Hall are great.  We have the entire show on DVD.

Yeah they are great, aren't they? I love the line in this sketch. "Out of my body, and onto your plate". I always chuckle when I see it

I like my eggs with scotch bonnet peppers and naga salt.

In fact, I like just about everything I eat with the above.

It's been a while since that's happened to me.

My mom bought brown eggs for a change.

They're... chunky.

ugh...

and she burned the frying pan while de-chunking. I think I'll have a bagel.

White hens lay white eggs and brown hens lay brown eggs.

Eggshell color varies by the breed of layer.  Here's a handy chart.

http://www.chickens.allotment-garden.org/eggs/egg-colour-hen-breed.php

I bought some "Nice" eggs on sale at Walgreens and they were sort of dessicated, crack the shell and they were really slow to come out.  Weird.  We cooked them and they tasted ok, but I'm not so keen on going back to get eggs there.  Better to go w/vegetarian free range eggs.

I really, really shouldn't ask.

But why are brown eggs chunky?

They aren't.  They are no different than any other eggs.  If your eggs are chunky I suspect they were frozen or something.  That sounds like a degradation in the protein chains, the albumen.  Egg contents should be smooth and viscous, never "chunky."

I thought Chunky had nuts, not eggs.
