Ever been in a tech spot where "spend money" isn't an option, and you need a solution now?
Well I just hit one. The best display I currently have is a 19 inch LCD that probably wouldn't look out of place in a cubicle farm.
And it's only VGA. My computer only has DVI, and my adapters are buried under the fake christmas tree. (Mom grabbed random boxes to use as the base.)
I don't much see the point, Christmas sure as poo isn't in the budget.
Anyway, the solution came from Apple. I had bought a VGA to DVI adapter years ago, for who knows why? I sure don't.
So in a sea or black and dell, there is a rather nice looking white dongle.
That reminds me, I need to peel the face off my computer and replace the usb ports, something else that isn't in the budget.
[Update: Well poo, that didn't work. Now I have to figure out if it's the Monitor or the VGA adapter. lovely.]
