Robin, I think oc1 was just making the distinction between the scripting of the matches v. things like UFC or other MMA.  I'm not as big a wrestling fan as I was before, but it pisses me off when people call it "fake".  It might be scripted, but you've gotta be a true athlete to be able to go out there and do the things they (you) do without 1) hurting yourself or 2) hurting someone else.

Sub-under
Vino-wine
Rosa-rose

Anything said under the rose or while having wine is a secret.

Actually, I just wanted a makeover and changed my name. :)

There was this episode of American Dad, in which the boy with the glasses called for his two dogs.  Their names were Chekov and Sulu.  Although I didn't much like that episode, I thought that was the funniest thing I heard in all my lives.

Also, they're my favourite characters because Sulu fences (I used to fence) and Chekov becomes Alfred Bester.

Now Zoidberg is the popular one!

Actualy,, I hate being called a performer.
Im a profesional wrestler.
Anyone that thinks its all phony needs to get in the ringwith me for five minutes.
But A.J. is a good guy nonetheless

I certainly meant no offense to you RG. I know nothing about this sport (?) but for the 2 minutes I have ever watched it, while there is definately pain involved, there seems to be alot of "showmanship" as well. That's why I guess I dont really understand it.

So, you're strictly pro wrestling? No MMA?

Not that I'm qualifying one as better than the other, just askin'...

I got a few freinds in MMA.
I stricly Pro Wrestling,,You dont last long in MMA.
I been doing Pro Westling for almost 22 years.
I used to use Neuromancer as a net name.I love William Gibson. Awsome writer.
I keep my standards low.
That way im never disapointed.

I've been trying to get some MMA events in my venue is really why I asked. ;) I've gotten really close, but no promoter has ever been able to go the distance.

Have you ever read Gibson's unused script for what should have been the 3rd Alien movie? It's really good...

NP,,,BTW,,Who says we dont get hurt?lol
Ive heard about these so called "blood packs" and "Rubber" chairs.
After 22 years,,I havent seen a single one.
I have scars frombarbed wire, broken glass, etc.
Even permanent injuries from being hit with everything from chairs to kendo sticks and trash cans (Mace should haveknown that trash can was corugated steel!)
I havehelped train a couple of kids in UFC.  They train as hard as we do,,hats off to them.

You're welcome.

And I'm also glad to find it because now I don't have to scan my crappy Xerox copy. In fact, the Xeroex I have cuts off the last few lines on the last page, so now I know what they were.  :)

I really liked it, basically because Alien is largely a horror flick, but Aliens is largely an action flick. Gibson combines the two here by having geneticists on a US space station change the alien's physiology so now the horror aspect of not knowing of what these things are capable is combined with the mayhem of them being in a populated area.

Also, the biggest factor that makes it better: Ripley is not the main character.

Sorry, I'm hijacking this thread... :D :D :D
