I wouldn't (IMHO) say we are smug, possibly just piffed off with Starmer and co with what they are doing with basically everything. 🤷‍♂️
Just glanced at the news and OMG
550 reform
308 libdemo
224 conservatives
75 Labour
I would hazard  a guess as to why labour is taking a battering  ???

My condolences.

We like to think about where we'd emigrate to, but so far, even moving from one coast to the next is a bit much.  I just keep hoping for a miracle.  Our general attitude is one of dismay.  It's sad that the Brits are not immune from this kind of grievance based demagoguery.

The WE you state, I read as, in  the UK we didn't expect this to happen.
But when the majority parties abuse the power and then  lies about what they would do when in power pft people off.
So they voted for the person who stated what 'we' wanted to hear as per trump.
I dont agree with the results and local elections don't always transfer to Parliamentary results, but the way the UK is going, it wouldn't surprise me.
Interesting days ahead, mmmmm

My personal view is that the math doesn't match the demography. Reform will invariably do well from voters that are inclined to the right when the Tories lose their way, but I can't see them doing so well in the "smoke" or other Labour strongholds. As long as that battle between good and evil exists, I think we'll be alright -  but please don't quote me ...
Don't put off until tomorrow, what you can put off until the day after.

There is an exception to every rule, apart from this one.
