Adding Brushes to your Photoshop:
After you have downloaded (and extracted) the Photoshop Brushes (*.ABR files) to your HD, copy and paste it into your Photoshop Presets folder. Assuming you have installed your Photoshop onto your C: Disk, this is where to find it:- C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS2\Presets\Brushes.

Adding Fonts to your Windows Fonts Folder:
After you have downloaded (and extracted) the Font Files to your HD, copy and paste it into your Windows Fonts folder. Assuming you have installed your Windows onto your C: Disk, this is where to find it:- C:\WINDOWS\Fonts.
Trick: Hold the Shift key whilst left-clicking the Type Tool in Photoshop. This will load your newly installed font(s) immediately.

What are Renders

Renders are images that are cut out from the original image, this way you can use them without having to spend time cutting out the part you want (for example a game character) from its background, saving you lots of time!

Where to download Renders

You can find lots of renders at GameRenders.com, the easiest way is to just download some free render packs so you quickly have a great collection of quality renders, another great place to get individual renders is Planet Renders.

Opening your render

Renders are almost always saved as a .png with a transparent background, when you simply copy and paste the render from your browser into photoshop you will notice that the transparent background has gone.
To prevent this you will first need to save your render on your computer, after that you can safely open it in photoshop. Right click > open with photoshop, then copy the render and go back to your original document, now you can paste in your render while the background remains transparent.

Seems like a very useful thread so I've "stickied" it.  JF gets to make the final call on it though.

This also seems like it would be a very good place for others to post up their useful Photoshop resources.

Be forewarned, as I see the strong merit of this thread, if posts go off-topic, they will be bombed with extreme prejudice.

Take a look at the link and if there's anything other you would like me to bring across let me know. ;)

I'll leave that up to some of the other mods with more PS experience.  Seriously, I'm like someone who owns a Bugatti Veyron but lives here:
