;D sounds like vince and howard are a happy couple. are Guinea Pig's easy to take care of? and do they live for a long time? we had a class hamster once but it didn't last the year.
They are very easy to care for except for the nails. Im terrified to clip them but when Annas home she does it really quick. Their life span is 5-6 years, but I have a feeling they will last much longer.

Wow, that's a small city you built there, OC1. Nice. One of my nieces have one and I always thought the place she keeps Rocco (that's his name  :) ) is a bit small. He doesn't seem to mind and she takes him out of there for long whiles in the afternoons but still.  :-\

I didnt have the patience to potty train them so letting them out on the floor isnt something I do. Snuggling is the only time they come out/they have an outdoor pen too. Little lawnmowers and Im not kidding. Ha!! Youve seen Vince, snugglings not his thing. Now..... headbutting is. Howard is a lover though. She puts her head under my chin and make the sweetest sounds.

did  you keep the babies?? or give them away?

We kept them.  Then one of the males committed incest and we ended up with even more.  Eventually my parents got pissed because we didn't clean the cage enough so they gave them away.  We had them for a few years, though.

We would let them out in the house to wander around on the floor.  It was really funny when the mother g pig would walk away with 2 of the 3 babies.  The third would suddenly realize it had been left and squeal repeatedly until the mother came back.  There's a real family sense with these little guys.

Never leave that "to chance" my friend . Part of being a good pet owner is to insure this. If you have to take your pet to a class do it, if you have the ability to do it on your be consistent. Oh, and congratulations. Its a good feeling.

I have one those retractable leashes and I practice all the time by calling him and when he comes over I give him a treat. However his ears seem to be clogged when he's around other dogs and I have to call him more then once. And when I let him off the leash again this morning , he started to go over to people to people to be petted, but I'm scared someone would try to take him, so I have to figure out a way to stop him from doing that. So we still have work to do.

Mac took me on a 6 mile hike yesterday
I don't mind the distance, but the time it takes.
