of all the things children catch , a cough is the worst .( of the lesser bugs around)
constantly no sleep for anyone.
you could boil electric  kettle in their bedroom with the lid open / off.
it doesn't turn off and the steam helps the children breath better.
just be careful of the kettle and children

My daughter has this little tickly cough which is a real nothing of an illness.  No cold with it or temperature, she just has to cough a little every 15 seconds or so and it is still happening while I am writing. I didn't sleep until about 3am last night and no matter what I try I can't find a way of stopping the tickle?  I have given her little bits of a honey a lemon cough lozenge that works for a couple of minutes, and rubbing her chest can ease it momentarily but before long, back it starts.

I am going to be so knackered this Xmas I might miss the Queen's speech :)

Take care, swine flu has already killed 14 people in this country during this winter.  Probably O.A.Ps and that's pretty usually for any flu, and the advances made last year means it is not that deadly any longer. But, there is an epidemic of seasonal flu afoot so try and doddge it if you can.
Ah, yeah, a friend of mine almost scared me with talk of swine flu when I told her how I felt, but I'm better now, just a runny nose :)

At work, there was a guy coughing and sneezing all over the place, I need to stay away from him.  I think he's the only one that actually knows my name :-\

Now Zoidberg is the popular one!

I'd probably say earache, they cry all night with that.

That makes it sort of contagious.

When the kids get a tickly cough, I usually give them a little pei pa koa syrup or candy.  They love it and the U will often fake a cough if he knows I've got some laying around somewhere.

Thanks for that Sub', very interesting.  It is quite expensive here compared to conventional medicine but a small price if it stops her cough which she STILL has.  I'll order some online later.

A pack of the candy costs Php55 and the large bottle of syrup costs Php170.  How expensive is expensive?

I find the syrup rather soothing to my own tickly throat because of the cool minty/menthol taste.

For conventional stuff like Tixylix I'd pay about ?3 for (?1.50 if I bought a store brand version) but the stuff you suggested would cost me ?11 or ?12 with delivery. Her cough is worse tonight so I really must try and get hold of this to try it.

Oh wow, it really does cost more.

Good luck smokes.  I hope the little one feels better soon.

The usual: waiting for the soaps to end, then a few hands of 10 card brag, a tall glass of rum and then bed.
