In Japan pouring a drink for yourself is called 'tejaku' and is an absolute no-no.  You must wait for your drinking companion to top up your glass and at the same time, you must make sure his/hers doesn't run dry.

I kind of put webmastery on hold a year ago in favour of carpentry which pays 10x as much.  The only problem is I quite liked a job that meant sitting on my arse all day - like you do :)
