:o :o :o :o for a o/s that nearly does everything Ubuntu is the way.
i assume you have tinkered with it before .
Dweez is more use to using linux than me.
it is a personnel taste,
I have tried A LOT  ;D ;D and every time i go back to Ubuntu,
especially as you can have Unity,Gnome,Kde as a desktop to choose from.
I do like kde at the moment, seems a lot quicker .
try a few in virtual box to see how you go  :D

an easy going distro, makes the switch to linux less of a shock.  ;D ;D
Unfortunately gaming is still a pain in linux , if you play mainstream games that is.
Linux does have some great alternatives and even some pay for play games in the software center.

I only really need to run a couple system intensive applications, so I am not that fussed about which version I install, I just want the one that is more highly recommended.  I'll give Ubuntu I shot after I have installed another new drive.
