Still better than much of the other stuff that gets passed off as music, probably. Which are you talking about?

Well, Momentary Lapse of Reason is pretty mediocre across the board Dogs of War is really good, but the rest is kinda bland. And The Division Bell has some seriously bright spots (especially 'High Hopes') but overall just doesn't have the same impact as Floyd's stuff with Waters.

I think maybe I'm lucky the way my mind works. When someone says Led Zep, Stairway is the first thing to mind, Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon, and so on.

I've heard the recording... but I've never been a huge fan of The Wall (I like probably half of it) so I still thought it was just OK.

I saw Roger Waters live once and wasn't all that impressed. The most noteworthy thing for me was the fact that he had to get 3 people to do all of Glimour's guitar work. A true testament to how good Gilmour really is...

Did you catch the reunion at the G8 concert?

Aye, they sounded good and I don't think they did much rehearsing for it.  :-\

They didn't, and they were so good I almost cried.

I was hoping they'd actually do something again, but that clock has run out unfortunately...

Of bridges glowing behind us
To a glimpse of how green it was
On the other side..."

The Final Cut is pretty lame.

And some of Gilmour 's stuff without Waters is a little tepid, too.

Gilmour is an exceptional musician, but he's no lyricist.  :D

Came across this while perusing.
I concur Jack,Waters and Gilmour together are like Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, they hated each other, but played some good music combined.

Pink Floyd was definitly one of the better bands to emerge from the 70s.

I keep my standards low.
