WTF??!!!!!!!! Marches (07/10/09, 31/10/09)

I blinked and missed something, it was a blur. Saw an unusual amount of Police officers on the street, with vans. Some with cameras, some blocking roads and some following a crowd (no banners thou).

I can't find any newspaper reports that are credible sources (Daily Star being one). WTF happened?

All I know there were some marches, London and one further up north.

well i was going to say maybe it was a halloween parade but I dont know if they have that in london. maybe it was a training exercise ?

Islam4UK was going to protest, that the UK should adopt Sharia Law, the protest was cancelled, EDL (English Defence League / never heard of them before) had a protest, whilst another group protested at the same time, the UAF (Unite Against Fascism / never heard of them either).

The EDL (supposedly), was protesting against Islamic extremism, the UAF (I think), were protesting against the BNP (?).

Damn,, sounds like America!
 Allways someone offended by something someone did sometime in the past.
Im offended that these people are offended.

A few months ago we had Vegans protesting against non-vegans in Oklahoma City.
They said they were offended that people ate meat.
 I let the leader of the protest know Im offended that they dont eat meat. And that maybe I ought to lead a protest against vegetarians.
