Albums You've Listened to so Many Times You've Lost Count
« on: February 06, 2009, 12:44:53 PM »
I'm constantly on the look out for new albums and new music, so I'm curious
as to what albums you've played the hell out of.

Here's a couple I've spun countless times

The Beatles - The Beatles aka The White Album

I won't say that this is the best Beatles album, but by and large I've listened
to this one constantly for years.  I wouldn't say all of the songs are bona-fide
hits, but the sheer vastness of it never bores me  :)

Miles Davis - Kind of Blue

Often referred to as the best jazz album of all time, I don't know if I'd agree with
that, but my fondness for this album hasn't changed since the first time I heard
it.  With Miles Davis, Cannonball Adderley, John Coltrane, and Bill Evans all in
their prime doing what they do best, even if you don't like jazz all that mush,
this album is more than worth having in your collection.

There are plenty of other albums I could post here, but I wanna know what tickles your fancy  :)
Size, it doesn't matter to me so long as I get it...Gotta go now.

The Pretenders - The Pretenders.

This was the first album I ever bought and for about 4 years I only listened to side 1 as it was brilliant, then got around to side 2  ;D

It's funny to me that I have all the albums y'all have listed here so far.
We should get together and have a party sometime  8)

I love the Clash, but I've never given Sandinista! much of a fair
shake. Maybe this weekend, I'll dust off the turn table and give it a go  :)

It's not great all the way through but it has some very bright spots - and it opens with The Magnificent Seven which just bless'ed grooves...

Isn't Charlie Don't Surf on Black Market Clash?

Either way, that is a fantastic song...

awesome, I didn't want to be disappointed  :-\
