HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I hope you all have a good new year's celebration tonight whatever it is you do, and that you all stay safe. With my youngest still 5 we are just staying in and ordering some posh nosh and champers to celebrate.

After a lifetime of being a DJ in nightclubs on the evening in my past, I now actually like putting my feet up and embracing my family instead of going out, however, in a few years I hope to be out with friends again 'having it large'.

Anyhoo, a very happy new year everybody!!!

I got up at 12.30pm today and I wasn't even drunk last night. What's all that about?  Is it a physical tradition or something.

Happy New Year everyone (a little late I know). I'm sipping a glass of wine - my first alcohol in about a week due to a very bad bout of flu. Luckily, no one else in the house seems to have caught it, which is odd because usually when colds & flu sweep through the family, I tend to be the only one who doesn't get it.

Time to start my New Years resolution - my annual battle to lose some weight. I've been fighting the urge to have some cheese and crackers for a couple of hours now, and while I know I'll be able to resist until I go to bed, that cheese will still be calling out to me when I wake up tomorrow morning.  >:(

I didn't make it a resolution, but I've made a promise to myself to lose weight too.  I did make my first resolution in over 20 years though (I've always seen resolutions as dumb and just setting oneself up to fail)...to quit smoking.  Had my last "last" cigarette again tonight.  I fell better about it this time too.

Anyway, maybe we ought to do a Diasfora Weight Club thing (or "The Biggest eLoser") with initial weigh in photos (I dread even typing that) and stuff.  We can make it a private forum with only those in the club having access if that is preferred.

I had lost 7kg during the big window contract I finished in early December, that put me at 12st which is about right for someone of my build.  That was before Xmas though so I could well be up for this too.

I'll see what the scales say/shout later and update.
