P.S. Charlie Sheen better have a cameo in it...cuz we know Patrick Swayze won't...RIP.

i don't know, the first one was alright, in a corny sort of way. there's going to be a lot of rebooted movies coming, their cheaper to make, and they hope to cash in on the success of the originals.

NO! Just don't remake that film. I don't watch many films, but Red Dawn is one of the few I watch.

I realize how stupid this sounds, because the obvious answer is "just don't go to see the film!" but I am bothered that in 2014, when I am switching through channels I will see Red Dawn and it will not be "teh GOOD ONE", it will be the remake.

There must be good scripts around. But they prefer the sure thing. They actually KNOW how much money they're going to make even before they start filming the movie.

It's easier/cheaper/more profitable to release a re-make of a crappy movie/tv show then to make something original.  Even if it sucked, the name recognition alone is gold.

BTW, they're remaking The Munster's tv show....as a drama.  Brad Garrett as Herman?  Logical choice right?  Nope, Jerry O'Connell.  I think this will suck harder than trying to get that first taste of a Wendy's Frosty.  About the only chance at saving it is Eddie Izzard as Grandpa.

Red dawn looks like it will miss the point. This one will be like a reality show I guess. Reminds me of this:

As to the munsters

They're twisting it. Herman will be constantly rotting and have to deal with it.

Lily will be a horrible bloodthirsty vampire.

Apparently Marilyn will be a sociopath like dexter or some such cowpoo, she's supposed to be "The worst of them all."

And they're calling it mockingbird lane.
