Motorcycle and bicycle theft is rife in London at the moment. This issue is made worse (although I kind of agree with the decision) with the recent Metropolitan Police blanket policy of "no pursuit" in cases of 2 wheeled theft.  I could steal your pushbike from under you while the police were watching, and as long as I mounted it and started to ride, they have to let me escape.

This policy is because a chase could result in injury or death of the perpetrator of the crime.

So bike theft has been legalized?

Meanwhile, in the US, police unions are trying to make it legal for officers to turn off body cams. Officers also seem confused when pistol rounds fail to stop 3 ton vehicles.

So bike theft has been legalized?

Pretty much as the criminal element are fully aware of this new policy.  It does only apply to the Met' police force.  Out in the counties they can still pursue.

The officer who called me and then very kindly waited by my bike so I could bring my chain down and secure it (I couldn't push it home as it's 1000cc and I have dodgy hands from the surgery), told me that now when they do catch motorcycle thieves -- who are invariably young teenagers -- the courts send them on mechanic courses as they want to nurture their interest in engines etc.  The result is they learn how to hotwire, bypass immobilisers, and strip the vehicles down easily to sell on the parts.

Sigh....

Here, bike theft is mostly a step to perpetrate other thefts. Police either don't care or are connivent.

Windows 10 has a nice "cast to" application that connects with a smart tv, so far plays everything except mkv files.

My dad drove a truck for a livin'. I've done a moving job or two in the driver's seat of a civilian version of a moving truck, and spent even more time locked in the back of one, and honestly, I don't get it either. They park in the perfect location for a bless'ed collision. Here in the US, the parks system used to have rest stops running up California. The east coast has very different roads, and more built up off ramp locations. Sadly, many of the California rest stops have been torn out. I had to iron bladder the last six of a 24 hour drive, and I was a bless'ed idiot to drive that long straight, but the lift gate was busted and would not latch. I also had my bank card shut off in the bless'ed Mojave on the 4th of July trip, but that is a whole nother story.

How bored I am.

I really need to get back to work, even if it's unpaid.

Perish the thought!

I'm sure I'll find something to do that's productive, but doing nothing actually make you tired.

I'll be singing this next:

We're busy doin' nothin'
Workin' the whole day through
Tryin' to find lots of things not to do
We're busy goin' nowhere
Isn't it just a crime
We'd like to be unhappy, but
We never do have the time

That's OK for me, but what about the rest of the troops!

My hands have been poorly.

my mouth is still numb, 3 hours ago I have a replacement filling, what is going on.
I dont mind but I have a terrible itch near my lip and scratching does nothing to alleviate
the sensation. Why can i feel a itch when i cannot feel most of my lower face ??
