Will I need to have read/watched World War Z to enjoy the story?

Earlier this year, I read a lot of crossover fan-fiction.  I really wanted more Stargate, Farscape, Firefly and Star Trek in my life back then.  I read ALL of them from that website.

Now Zoidberg is the popular one!

I sincerely doubt you have read all.

That being said, navigating fanfiction.net is like fighting wolverines.

It is better that you have not watched Brad Pitt Vs. The Zombies, but the fic I linked does not require any knowledge of film or book. It's just creepy.

There are more SG1, ST, and Firefly Fics than you can read in a lifetime. poo, I'm now reading a 40k/L4D cross.

Yeah, I probably didn't.  It's very likely I'd have skipped some that didn't have summaries that interested me or had terrible titles.

OK, I'll give it a read at some point.

I was reading a really good Iron Man/BTVS/TNG fic, where Giles really bent up and went as a borg drone for halloween. On BTVS, a chaos mage once turned everyone who bought a costume at his shop INTO their costumes for the night.

It actually doesn't investigate the immediate aftermath, it jumps immediately to the end of BTVS, where Sunnydale has become a crater. Stark is doing one of his flight tests when his sensors pick up a contained plasma energy source. He sends a team in to investigate, and when his suit explains what a borg drone is (Fictional in this universe) He sets a very wide perimeter.

Unfortunately, the site the fic was on had a disagreement with the author and he scrubbed all his content from the site :(

Just finished Sir Walter Scott's Kenilworth (aka "Don't date him, girl").

Now flying through Carl Hiaasen's Skinny Dip.  Amusing but not much of a stretch for the little grey cells.

Another lame cop novel:  Alone by Lisa Gardner.  Set in Boston.

Don't think I'll be reading another by this author.  Somebody gave this to me and it was lying around in my fiction pile.  I need to be more discriminating.  Life's too short.

8ully's op link dint work so I'm not sure how your question connects to the thread. Having said that, I would recommend reading the Z novel before you see the film. The film is a decent zombie experience but has little to do with the book.

Many sites were down yesterday, someone hit AT&T hard, and that severed a lot of links.

Anyways, the link works now. WWZ never really ends, as the Solanum virus caused many problems beyond the zacks (Zombies)

The book goes into this, in how Solanum virus is one of the most toxic substances ever encountered, and caused massive wildlife crisis poo storms, not to mention environmental damage from the outbreak.
