got an Ouya console
« on: February 16, 2014, 05:00:43 PM »
got one on sale on Amazon.ca for $69.99 strictly for an XMBC player after reading reviews, amazing little XMBC player for the price, can also be used as an emulator, the Ouya games themselves leave a lot to be desired

I'm sorry.

Ouya was a huge bless'ed scam. They got a ton of money on kickstarter trying to act like they were going to be a rival to microsoft/sony/nintendo, and it ended up about as bad as the chinese knockoff consoles, like the fony polystation.

I hear you can find them in assorted clearance stores.

just one little time change so a draft board in 1968 turns down the bribe to accept "bone spurs" and we are home-free.

i only got it as an XBMC player, which it is excellent for, it's fully supported by XBMC, and you can download it for free from the Ouya store, though there are better 3rd party versions out there. i also have a Pivos XIOS on my bedroom tv running the Linux version of XBMC, it's good, but the Ouya on my big screen is faster.

I just bought a wii.

Seriously.

My faves...
For adults... Metroid Prime and Resident Evil 4 are great.
For everyone... Zelda: Twilight Princess (loved it) and Mario Smash Brothers (actually almost any Mario game).

Wii Sports was fun.
I threw out my shoulder and elbow Wii boxing.  ;D
I suck at bowling, even Wii bowling.
Thought the Wii golf game sucked.
Liked Wii Baseball.

The music makes me want to shoot the damned thing! When my daughter plays I turn the volume down and confiscate the remote.
