Fresh Spinach

I've been eating more spinach lately and I've notcied I get this weird after taste  almost metallic like. has anyone else had this issue?

I don't know about the metallic taste.
But the astringent, harsh taste of spinach is believed to be related to calcium oxalate.

Some nutritionists say the secret is to eat small amounts of everything and constantly vary what you eat.
Ummnn, I wonder if different ice cream flavors could be considered different types of food...  ;)
