New year, new plans, new ambitions and, for me, probably new pains. Wishing you all the best for the year ahead.

I tried to get through s9 of SG-1 in one night, and failed. I crapped out around 10:30 and went to bed.

I even set the playback speed to 1.30. It made the episodes pop! I may have lost some nuance.

If you're looking for a reason to come back six, in 9x09, they actually walk to the end of the ramp with a shut off gate! I always wondered what it looked like back there!

Ha!  I had a glass of wine about 10:30 and was so tired all night that I barely made it to midnight before falling asleep for 9 hours.  I felt like alerting the media.  It's so rare for me to sleep that much.  Wow.

Had my long walk today, did some chores and am off to a NYear's potluck and another relatively early night>but I'm looking forward to catching up with you on the SG1.  I don't know if I can watch them speeded up but that might be a good option, but I don't think Amazon prime will allow it.

I may as well necromance this thread as there isn't much that's positive to say about the past year nor much of the next and it definitely doesn't deserve a new thread.

I hope that whatever we all do tonight that it's safe and the best that we can hope for under the circumstances.

Mine is an Indian takeaway of mammoth proportion and more champagne with the household family.

Sounds good to me.

We are going to eat something that's already in the house.  Your curry sounds great.

Happy New Year to all and may 2021 see the end of this whole sad COVID business.

Happy happy all.

I have to say that this year doesn’t seem much different from last year, yet!

I'm definitely fatter than I was last year.

Hopefully that'll have changed by the morning.

Bottle of fizz and Jools on the box.
Be safe everyone and lets hope the vaccine works, when we get it that is.
Cheers to a better one 2021

Ok, I had some of the leftover curry for brunch so I've buggered it!

You're going to have to suggest a more radical idea. Any mention of the word "diet" and I'm halving your pay.

Kinda shocked that it's a year on from last posting in this thread when it feels like just a few months ago. Hey-ho, life's weird all round a suppose.

Anywho. Happy New Year to everyone and I'm hell-bent on having a better 2022 than 20 and 21.

Hope you all have fun!

Happy new year, smokes, and to all on the forum.  May 2022 find you healthier and freer to move about without wearing a spacesuit.  Cheers!   :) :) :)

Nice to see you back, goldie. Sorry to hear about you all being sick.  I hope it wasn't too bad.

May 2022 improve as it goes along.

I'm feeling out of sorts and a bit achey since my holiday travels (by car, not plane) so had a test yesterday and waiting on results now. I'm vax'd and boost'd so no real worries (in my head at least) but just wanted to be sure as I do have occasion to actually go on-site at work sometimes.

best to be safe for yourself and those near you.
I have tested negative today after 5 days with Omicron, Wife is still positive for Omicron after 8 days  >:( ,

At this rate number 1 son will be making his way to Sandhurst with his girlfriend taking him, he has spent 1 week in December and even less in January at home trying not to catch Omicron, if he misses Jan 9th intake its another 9 months to wait and I cannot see him waiting that long ( 2 years due to covid he has so far spent waiting for this opportunity)

That sounds really disappointing for you, goldie, as I know how (rightfully) proud you are of his attainments and I'm sure you want to see him off to the new adventure.  I sure hope you can all get negative tests soon.  Sorry for the sickness.  And, dweez, I hope it's nothing more than just mid winter malaise.
