Is it just me or all mainstream beer brands tastes the same?

Yeah, they all taste like water.  Truthfully though, I find a subtle difference between all the major beers and you can get quite attatched to the nuance. I find a huge difference in aftertaste between Peroni and Moretti and therefore don't drink the former.  A little harder to tell with Australian and American stuff, but I do find a significant difference between the two.

I generally drink mainstream lager bc other beers are way too expensive in my country. I prefer to "invest" that money in a better red wine for example.

how much does beer cost everyone where they live? a dozen beer here averages around $21 (about 13 GBP).

a hard one to answer
depending on the offers on in the UK and what lager.

12 cans of Carlsberg (440ml) in Asda is £8.00 ($12 ish)
15 bottles of Budweiser (300ml) again in Asda is £10.00 ( $14 ish)
vary's from supermarket to supermarket to shop.

1 bottle (970 cm3) = 7$

Brazil:

London.

1 pint of beer in a dirty glass = £6+
1 can of dishwater beer in a 7-11 convenience store = £2.10

However, 12 x 330ml bottles of Miller in Asda = £6

"I drink it when I’m happy and when I’m sad. Sometimes I drink it when I’m alone. When I have company I consider it obligatory. I trifle with it if I’m not hungry and drink it when I am. Otherwise, I never touch it—unless I’m thirsty."

Lilly Bollinger (talking about champagne)

I used to drink a Champagne cocktail at the Atlantic Bar and Grill (deceased) that is apparently unknown (as I can't find a reference to it anywhere). It was called a "Screaming Eagle" and it was basically Champagne (preferably Cristal) and a shot of Crème de menthe. It was the absolute dogs doodahs.
