Alright, some of you have some really interesting screen names and I'm curious about what some of them mean.

Could you please tell us why you chose your particular handle?

Mine's kinda boring since it's just the name of a character from the comic book The Invisibles that several of my friends decided should be my nick after I let them read the book (the character and I are a lot alike - but I did not conform to the character, he just happens to be like me  ;)).

How 'bout you?

Mine is a snowboarding/skateboarding move, it's done to same for both sports.

You grab the board in the middle between your feet on the toe edge (That's an indie) and rotate 180 degrees, you get a front side 180 that you can see everything in front of you. The backside 180 you can't see anything in front of you until you complete the spin.

It must be an unusual username as I have managed to use it for everything.  :-\

I never knew that indie?.. At first I though you might be a dart enthusiast like me and then I thought you might be an "Indie music" fan.  Turns out you're just a fit politician ;)

Over on the other forums (I never really posted on the first demonoid forum as I only joined to find some install info) in particular "Subdemon" my handle was smokeyb53.  However one day cz85b casually called me "The Smokester" and it stuck in my head so much I switched to it.

Yeah, but where'd the whole 'smoke' motif have it's origins?

My handle was because my bike was a GSF1200 "Bandit" that smoked (smoking bandit). Unfortunately signing up for a hotmail account there were already 52 smokeybs so I opted for the next one up and used it just about everywhere.

And probably because I used to smoke a poo load of weed!

OK
I actually was always Pinguino, since it is a nickname I wear since high school.
In demonoid, I am pinguino, but in its forum, I created an account but instead of the o I put p, so it got Pinguinp.
So, I needed another account because Pinguinp is a really sh*tty name.
And, of course, I needed another e-mail.
So, I went to AOL, instead of hotmail or yahoo. And I looked at the alternative e-mails. One of them was crazymoviefan. From, there I shortened it to CMF.

In brief, CMF means:

I was at church camp for the first time when I was 18.  Everyone in the youth group were making up nicknames for each other but no one could think of one for me since they didn't know me that well.  One morning while waiting in line for breakfast, a guy had broke Pop Tarts in case he didn't like what was being served.  On the back of the box were a couple Far Side (one panel comics by Gary Larson) like comics.  One referenced my real name as such, "Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water, the Dweezil twins, <name> and <name2>...blah blah".  So since then I've been dweezil.  Over there years it was shortened to just dweez.

It's nice to hear the back story on these user names I've gotten so familiar with  :)

 :D

Frank Capri was a name a came up with for a character in a bunch of perverted and
highly offensive low quality videos I made with boot-leg GI Joe action figures I got from Kmart.
I made a profile for him on myspace where I started screwing with scammers, then I just started
using it for all my nefarious online activities.

There's actually a marginally famous photographer with the same name, and I fear the day
he takes legal action for defaming his good name.

A lot of people I know pronounce it Ka-pree like the cigarettes, but I prefer Cap-ree  ;D
Size, it doesn't matter to me so long as I get it...Gotta go now.
