I have always found it to be instictive to look at one's hand when you think you have a bleeding injury you can't see, and to use gravity to stop too much escaping - like holding your head back with a nose bleed.  I didn't believe the story for a moment although it did make me chuckle.

I think the smell of yeast/dough might have been my first hint.  If it was hot enough to explode the can, the car would have been filled with the scent.

You do see that Libby has led Cashew to the top of a picnic table dont you?  ;D Pictures can be misleading even with cute little faces like that.
