I like the Voortman lemon wafers... at least I think I did :D maybe I was just overly hungry that day

I like fresh pineapple, pinapple upside down cake, pineapple on pizza, and pineapple Lifesavers. I don't love canned pineapple, but it wouldn't make me puke.. fake banana in juices tastes like throw up. But I like real banan in smoothies. And, I like banana Laffy Taffy even though it's super fakey obnoxious tasting. I hate grape Laffy Taffy. All fake grape stuff makes me feel like I'm getting a headache ::)

I tried banana liquor once. Don't let me start on how bad that tastes.

Don't ever fry anything with soy oil. It gives everything smell and taste of fish. I guess it isn't a prob if you're frying fish though.  :D Using it "raw" is a completely different thing.

^ weird :D

Well, some soybean oil fatty acids break down under heat into smaller volatile (smelly) fatty acids also present in fish (Who cares, xtopave?!  :D)

I love the science side of anything ::) I'd just never pictured soy as possibly fishy smelling.. so, it weird/interesting to hear it. That's also one of the reasons I like Alton Brown.. because he discusses the science side of cooking.

Are you a fan of Heston Blumenthal?

Heston Blumenthal

Cooking things at 60C makes me nervous. Let's make it 70C and I'm with you. Geez, that's not even pasteurization let alone cooking.  ;D

These are the best lemon wafers, IMO.

mouth puckering goodness.

Banana Laffy Taffy is exactly the reason I hate banana flavored anything. I really can't stomach any flavors of Laffy Taffy except strawberry and green apple.

I wouldn't cook like him, but I love his shows.

I couldn't cook like him as I only have access to a kitchen, not a laboratory.  He freaks me to tell the truth as when I was an apprentice chef I was taught not to over analyse what I was doing, but to just get on and do it.

canned meat, not corned beef or Spam type canned meat, but canned beef, chicken, ham, turkey, etc., looks, smells and tastes like dog food  :P

All you vanilla lovers should know that artificial vanilla is made with beaver anus.

Enjoy your beaver anus ice cream, suckers!

They used to be here, but now with all the "local" supermarkets there's no market for them.
