I was actually quite entertained and pleased with Japan today when they played Cameroon.  I do have a soft spot for them anyhow and if they had more of a physical presence to go with their nifty footwork, they'd do quite well I would imagine.

Either way, I'm rooting for them in each of their games.

I know someone who is coming back from Japan on Thursday.. If she had more money with her, I was going to ask for a Japanese baseball jersey. Now I wish I'd thought to give her money to get me a Japan World Cup shirt.

Brazil - North Korea

This is probably the best game so far. North Korea surprised me in a good way. They may just be the "whaaaaaatz" team of the World Cup

If it was scored on passion and commitment, North Korea would be hard to beat.  Unfortunately they are another team that doesn't have to physical strength to deal with the heavyweight teams.

I watched just one half but I can tell they lack skill too. They're technically limited. And Brazil was only firulete and not much more. But they're always like that at the beginning of tournaments. They'll put the batteries on when it's necessary.
