It would be good if they did, in fact, it would be nice if Argentina, Spain, Brazil and Germany were all put out of the competition during the group stages.

To leave the way clear for Portugal to win it?
Actually, I'd prefer all the best teams to go through. Spain v Brazil or Germany v Argentina would be pretty good games.

I'm still hoping that Green's gaff was part of a cunning plan to lull the competition into a false sense of security.

That said, they probably don't care where they leave their valuables anyhow?

Yes, the referee gave cards left and right, especially the first halftime. But then again Germany's performance was disappointing. Especially after they missed the penalty, it looked like they had given up. Also, what a bad performance by Podolski!!!
I guess Germany isn't that good without Ballack and Klose.  :-\

Slovenia vs USA starting.

I don't care who wins this game but the Slovenian goalkeeper deserves a shoulder shake and a slap in the face.  :D What was he doing hiding behind the pole? (Is that the correct term in English?) Of course there was a previous defense mistake but still.

That must have been the worst half-time team talk the Slovenians have ever had. Did they all smoke some marijuana in the dressing room or something?

It was the result I had thought it would be however I thought it would be a goalless draw.
