Yep. You have to continually kill things.

I mean, tis the season.

I miss Halloween shows. Baseball really F'd Treehouse of Horror to death, and the constant dilution of The Simpsons is just sad.
I think my favorite "Halloween Episode" was the slasher episode of Boy Meets World. It mocked slashers, while not being rude with the mockery. They even brought in Jennifer Love Hewitt to guest star.
And it pulled one of the few acceptable "it was all a dream" endings to reset to status quo.

I also deeply loved the first season of Scream Queens. So Stupid, So Mean, So Fun. Of course Ryan Murphy had to Ryan Murphy it up.

I downloaded the latest episode of HoTD last Sunday night and still haven't gotten around to watching it.  I guess the thrill is gone.  It's a real dud.

We've been watching the Dahmer thing on Netflix and, to be honest, I'm finding it a tough watch.

Zombies are one thing, but freaky assed people are just scary.

For some reason, perhaps because I was made aware of this show, I read the Wikipedia entry on the guy.  That was enough.  It's not clear why someone felt it worthy of a tv show.  He was a sick sick man and very dangerous.  Sad that he managed to elude detection for so long.

They did a bundy thing and it got good ratings, so...

(I'm not defending it. Serial killer groupies are bent in the head)

It's "I'm a celebrity" time so the missus has control of the remote.

Gah.

Started watching The Peripherals on amazon prime.  The jury's still out on this.  Title sequence graphics are a total ripoff of The Expanse.

Kids get involved with dangerous tech out of poverty and get in over their heads real quick.   Things are so bad that they play "London Calling" by the Clash at the end of the pilot.  I guess that's tv writer equivalent to "this is a compelling series, be sure to tune in to episode 2."

Still watching The Peripherals, although I must say it's pretty derivative.

There are some talented actors in it.  The head bad lady has zero fashion sense and wears some ghastly clothing/jewelry combos.  At least she appreciates bees and plants.

Also super entertaining is futuristic London that includes colossal statues of Britannia as air filters.  That's a really nice touch.

I thought I'd give Chapelwaite a go as I saw it on Paramount and I like the name Adrien when it's spelled correctly.

It's not overly creepy although it has its moments, but it is quite tense which is enough to keep you watching.

Really don't like the racism in it as it makes the intolerance of that period more distressing than any gore or jumpscares.

Season 5 of "The Crown":
weird to be watching Dominic West as Prince Charles at the same time I'm watching "The Wire" where he plays the Irish American cop, McNulty.  West speaks too quickly as Prince Charles despite his otherwise valiant efforts to mimic the Prince's phrasing and general diction.  The Queen and Phillip, the Duke of Edinburgh, seem poorly cast -- her character seems too passive while he is a bit more aggressive than I'd expect, especially in her presence.  Last night's episode (the one with the leaked "tampon" conversation) had Diana simply pouting and wearing her "revenge dress" with the barest whisper of a context.  I guess it was like a day off for her, in that the actress didn't have to memorize any lines.  But it seemed more like a general P.R. ad for Charles than anything else.  I can understand why the writing has been subjected to harsh reviews.

Any of my friends across the pond willing to weigh in on this?  I'm curious to know what you think about it.  (The Wire remains really strong even on a second viewing.)
